This policy explains what data the iq-delivery driver app
collects, how we use it, and your rights. The app is provided to delivery
drivers contracted with iq-delivery to receive and complete delivery jobs.
1. Who we are
iq-delivery is operated by IQTaxi (Greece). Contact:
info@iqtaxi.com.
2. What data the app collects
- Identity — driver name, phone number, email, vehicle
type, license plate, IBAN (optional), emergency contact (optional).
- Location — precise GPS while online and during a
delivery, used to dispatch nearby orders, navigate to pickup/dropoff,
and confirm geofenced state changes. Stored in our database as a
time-series of points.
- Camera & photo storage — photos you take inside the
app for: (a) proof-of-delivery at the customer's door, (b) restaurant
receipts when depositing cash at our office, (c) your profile avatar,
(d) document uploads (ID, license, insurance) during onboarding.
Photos are uploaded to our private storage; only iq-delivery
operations staff can view them.
- Money flow — per-shift cash collected, paid to
restaurants, deposited at office, and earnings owed to you. Used to
reconcile your wallet and produce payout statements.
- Order activity — every order offered, accepted,
declined, completed, cancelled, or failed; status timestamps and
reason codes.
- Device & app diagnostics — app version, OS, language
preference, crash diagnostics. No advertising IDs, no analytics
trackers.
3. What the app does NOT collect
- No microphone or audio recording.
- No contacts list, no SMS, no calendar.
- No advertising tracker; we do not sell or share data with ad
networks.
4. How we use the data
- Match driver locations to orders and route them to the nearest
eligible driver.
- Settle cash balances at end-of-shift and pay out earnings.
- Generate audit receipts (PDFs) for cash handovers, salary, payouts,
and partner settlements.
- Reply to support requests and resolve disputes.
- Comply with Greek tax and accounting law (records kept for the
legally required retention period).
5. Background location
The app requests background location permission so we can keep dispatching
you while the screen is off and the app is in the background. A persistent
notification ("iq-delivery is online") is displayed whenever background
location is active, so you always know when GPS is being used. Going offline
in the app stops all location collection and dismisses the notification.
6. Data sharing
- With delivery partners (the restaurant or marketplace
that originated the order): driver name, vehicle, license plate, and
live location while their order is in transit, plus status callbacks
when state changes. They cannot see your identity outside their own
orders.
- With cloud hosting (Hetzner, Germany; Supabase open-
source self-hosted on Hetzner) for storage and compute. No data
leaves Hetzner unless we share with a delivery partner as above.
- We do not sell your data to anyone.
7. Retention
- Live location pings: kept 30 days, then aggregated.
- Order records, ledger entries: retained for the period required by
Greek tax law (typically 5 years from the end of the financial year).
- Document photos: retained while you are an active driver plus 1 year,
then deleted.
- If you stop driving for us and request deletion (see §9), we delete
the personal identifiers but keep anonymised order/ledger records as
required by law.
8. Security
Database access is restricted by role-based permissions (Postgres RLS).
All app/server traffic is HTTPS only. Authentication uses Supabase Auth
with PKCE; passwords are not stored — only salted hashes. Push tokens, if
present, are stored encrypted at rest.
9. Your rights (GDPR)
You can ask us at any time to:
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your account and the personal identifiers we hold.
- Withdraw consent for any optional processing.
Email info@iqtaxi.com with your
request and we will respond within 30 days.
10. Children
The app is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly
collect data from minors.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will notify drivers via the app
and update the "Last updated" date at the top.
